A few years ago, while I was living in California, I met a guy in Pasadena who was listening to me play my dulcimer on the street. I think we got together once or twice after that, to exchange a few ideas about art, music, and Ireland... I remember feeling really lucky to have met him, and not really knowing why. So every once in a while, I like to take a look at this and remember him and the way two strangers met in Pasadena. Terry Payne -- An incredible artist.

Today's bike ride to school meandered around town so I could run a few errands on the way. Nothing special.. just the bank, the post office, the mechanic's. Ended up at the log house for a few hours, listening to RootsRadio and felt the Scandinavian bug bite me again. Now I'm looking for ways to get a PhD in something so I can go be a professor of folklore and/or music in Sweden. Butch wants this plan to take us by way of Portland, OR. I think this could probably be done! For now, I'm perfectly happy in Bowling Green! Just gotta find some folks who want to start a Swedish folk/jazz band with me. Who's in?
Landlocked for the first time in my life, and lovin' it. With rings on our fingers and bells on our toes, Butch and I packed up the Buick and moved life to Bowling Green, Kentucky, where I am now in active pursuit of a Masters degree in Folk Studies from Western Kentucky University. So along with this new life, new house, new department, new location, and new projects, I thought I'd make this new website. I hope y'all enjoy. I'm having a wonderful time out here. Who needs an ocean, anyway?
